Upscale mega malls are found in most areas in Bangkok, where people retreat from the heat to gain access to cool air conditioning, restaurants, movie cinemas, food courts, luxury shopping and much more. While the mega malls are an amazing spectacle and experience, the true character of Thailand is found at its legendry outdoor markets. Here you will interact with the people that have made Thailand known as the “Land of smiles”. While there are dozens of great markets, the most famous is outdoor is Chatuchak market. Chatuchak, or JJ Market as it is sometimes referred as, is only open on the weekends and is the largest outdoor market in Asia. It is a maze of shops, food, and spectacles highlighted by 15,000 stalls hundreds of thousands of visitors every weekend.

Relaxing on Beautiful Beaches & Enjoying The Ocean:

For medical tourists, getting treatment in Thailand is appealing for many reasons, one of which is the warm weather and beaches. Beaches in Thailand are abundant and are well known for their crystal clear waters and comfortable temperature. While most medical tourism takes place in Bangkok, Bangkok is not a beach destination. However, there are several stunning beach locations nearby. If you want to relax in the sand, take in some sun, go swimming in the ocean, or indulge in watersports (snorkeling, scuba diving, wind surfing, etc.) there are accessible destinations within a few hours by car from Bangkok. Atop the list you have Pattaya and Hui Hin, which have fantastic beaches as well as vibrant cities to explore. There are also other popular options which can be reached from Bangkok in a short 1 hour flight such as Krabi, Koh Samui and Phuket.

If you like Golf, Thailand is Golf Heaven. The hot weather, fantastic courses, friendly caddies and cheap green fees make golfing a popular activity throughout the year. To get a feel for just how amazing Golf in Thailand is, explore the GolfSideKick YouTube channel. Across the country and around Bangkok there are hundreds of beautiful golf courses and resorts. In and around Bangkok there are dozens of courses designed by legends such as Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman & many others. But be warned, the courses can be quite challenging with most having a narrow fairways and lots of water hazards!
