Derek R. Halpern
Founder & Director
Derek R. Halpern is an American who graduated from New York University in 2008. Born and raised in Long Island, New York, he moved to Thailand full time in 2013. Derek has a background in Investment banking & finance, however in the past decade living in Thailand he has expanded has expertise into the healthcare sector. After successfully dealing with his own medical issue in Thailand, Derek was so impressed with the experience, that he started Health Tours Thailand with the goal to help others get access to Thailand, and the amazing healthcare available in the country.
Arjun Dhanoa
Chief Financial Officer
Arjun “AJ” Dhanoa is a global professional with a diverse background in private equity, real estate development, and healthcare. After graduating from New York University, Arjun gained extensive experience managing investments in India, overseeing the development of a real estate project and resort in collaboration with a leading Thailand-based operator. He later worked in asset management in Dubai before relocating to South East Asia, where he has been deeply involved in the healthcare & wellness field for the past three years.
Eban Hyams
Brand Ambassador & Sales Manager
Eban Hyams has had an impressive career spanning multiple continents as a professional basketball player. Having played AND1, ULEB, Australian NBL, and UBA India, Eban has amassed over two decades of experience at the highest levels of sports. He also served as the Manager of Basketball Operations at NBA India, conducting 300+ basketball clinics & was involved in running the NBA’s Sprite 3X league. Eban has reached the pinnacle of athletics and has demonstrated impressive management skills for some of the world’s top organizations. He has abundant experience in the fields of fitness, sports medicine, physical rehabilitation, recovery and health.

Jon graduated from New York University in 2008 with multiple degrees and has since become the most sought after real estate broker in the trendy New York City art industry. His real estate deals and his art collection has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Artsy, Artnet, and other publications. Jon was honored by the Commercial Observer in their 2015 print edition of “30 Under 30″. Jon also has a deep passion fitness, wellness & making quality healthcare more accessible. His deep connections in New York and beyond help bridge that gap between North America & Asia.

Pookae is native to Thailand and is an awarding winning Healthcare agent. She acts as Health Tours Thailand’s go to specialist for those that need and qualify for Thai Health Insurance policies.

Nucci was born in Bangkok and is fluent in English and Thai. She plays an important role to coordinate with Thai hospitals & clinics as well as translate Thai language and guide international visitors.
