In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) with gender selection is legal in Thailand. Health Tours Thailand’s IVF package with gender selection is done at an internationally accredited (JCI) Hospital in Bangkok with high success rates, at a significant discount to western countries (Around 50% the cost of US or European Countries). The IVF technique used in the package is ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), an advanced form of In Vitro Fertilization in which the strongest sperm is directly inserted into an egg. During the process, several embryos are created which are subsequently tested for genetic information during a process known as Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT). PGT testing screens embryos for diseases such as down syndrome and also tests for chromosomal information to determine sex. Embryos of the desired sex are subsequently implanted in the uterus.
